Flying to Alaska

Flying to Alaska
The week before disaster
Alaska has always seemed to be a fun place to go to and finally, I get to go! My mom said that she was going to buy the plane tickets today, so that means that we can get on the plane by Wednesday. I can't wait because I've heard that you can go bear sightseeing in the wild. I love black bears, so I hope that we will be able to see a few black bears. I don't know what the population of black bears are over there, but I hope that it's a lot.
Were on the plane now and i totally can not wait. Mom says that it will only take a few hours to get there since we live in Canada, but not too long. I really think that were going to have a really fun time, and that we are hopefully going to see a lot of black bears.
Disaster strikes
We have finally gotten on the plane and are ready to take of. We had to go to a different airport because there was like something wrong with our plane. Now it will take about 2 more hours, but I don't really care because that means that we get to have more snacks, probably 4 or 5 times. The plane peoples have already come around twice with drinks and snacks, but the intercom says that it's getting cloudy and they can't see. I hope they can find their way through because our airplane is starting to run out of gas.
Uh oh. Our gas is gone!!!!!!!! The intercom says that we are over water (which is good) but I think they are wrong because I see trees under us. I have a feeling this isn't good because our plane is shaking and we are getting lower and lower. We are now going straight down and-AHHHHH I am closing my eyes as tight as I can and I can hear the loud BOOM!!!and then I faint.
I don't know how long I was sleeping for, but when I wake up we are next to the plane wreck and we are the only ones who live. I guess we are on our own from now on! I don’t remember anything that happened, but all I do know that I started closing my eyes and told mom that I loved her and then boom! I thought I was dead.
Me and mom walked on for I don't know how long, but after a while we came to a small clearing, and we stopped there. Mom set up a tent, and we sat in front of a small fire that mom had made. Mom said that we were very lucky to have lived, because if we were a few seconds later, then we would of been burned up with the rest of the plane. Apparently, according to mom, we are In Alaska but we are just on the border. I we ever get saved, then mom said that It would maybe take around 1 hour left of driving, NOT plane riding, but thats that. I hope that we will survive, because mom says (AGAIN!!!!) that the newspaper article about the plane crash will most likely show up the newspaper in 2 weeks, then the airport will send a search for us then they will go looking for us, and she said that we have a fifty fifty chance of surviving. I am going to help mom set up a fire, because she has never set up a tent before. That is because usually when we go real camping, dad always sets up the tent for us.
We are lucky, or I am lucky that mom saved our stuff from the airplane when it crashed. So now we have our sleeping bags that we brought. It is 7 at night now and I am getting drowsy from walking all day and Mom said that I can go to bed now. We had some sort of berries for dinner and surprisingly, they were delicious.
Three weeks later
Mom and I have been hiking for weeks and we have finally come to the side of the woods. Our short supply of food is almost gone, and mom is starting to turn paler and paler. I now see the far mountainside and I see our miracle. About 50 feet in front of us I see a small dot that is coming closer. I stop mom and wave my hand and yell. “HELP! HELP!” The people come closer and I see that is is a hunter. The hunter comes right up to us and asks us who we are. We say that we are from the plane crash in the woods and He raises his hands up and says “Everybody is looking for you!” Inside of me I am secretly saying Duh! We have been missing for weeks!
The hunter takes us to the airport and pays for our tickets back home. We said that we were going to a different part of Alaska, but he insisted that we had to go back to our home in Canada. When we are back home we both take a shower. Mom makes us some tea and we sit down to think about our ‘wonderful’ trip to ‘Alaska’. We think about how we are soooooooo lucky to be home. Mom called my Aunt Cecilia (C.c)yesterday and told her about our ‘magnificent’ trip. Aunt C.c now insists that we are NEVER EVER going to go on ANY trip anymore.
