Alaine

“Run Alaine!” Pa shouted to me as the white men ran after us. We all split up, confusing the men, but soon, I started to run out of breath. I couldn’t see Ma, Pa or Little Ben, but I still could see one of the three men racing after me. I turned to run into the forest. I knew that if I hid there, then the white men wouldn’t be able to find me.
Even though I didn’t get one little glimpse of the person running behind me, I was sure that when I saw him, he would probably look horrible, like the bad men in the story books that Ma used to read to me. Then I realized that someone was yelling my name, and thinking that the person was my mother, I yelled back. “Ma, is that you? I yelled. The person came closer. That’s when I realized that it was the white men’s leader. I shivered. But when the man came even closer, I
could see that this person was actually a young boy, about the age
of eight, I knew that because well, he just looked around two years
younger than me, and I was ten. I came out of the forest. The boy
looked up at me and grinned.

“Hi!, My name is John!” he said joyfully. “I’m the Leader’s son.”
I gasped when I heard that name, and then I shivered. I knew that ‘The Leader’ was the white man that led the crew of kidnappers that were chasing us. That was when I heard a high shrill scream followed by a little shriek and then a long low moan. Then I realized that the low moan came from Pa, The high shrill scream came from Ma and the little shriek came from little Ben. I then Shrieked and tried to run but as soon as I did, I thought, What if little Ben told ‘The Leader’ that I was coming? I decided to stay. But as soon as John left, I would run back home and see what had happened to Ma and Pa and Little Ben. Soon after a while John left.

I walked out of the forest and looked around. I looked around again. Then I blinked. I blinked again, and I thought, where was I? Everything around me was different. Everything was perfect. Everything was how I wanted it to be. It was a dream. No, It couldn’t be a dream, because... “It just cant be!” I shouted. Then I realized that wherever I was, I had left Ma, Pa and Little Ben behind. “No!” I shouted again, “No! I can’t leave them! No, no! I just can’t!” I wailed.
Just then, when I shouted those words out, A soft tinkling sound filled the air, and a bunch of small people with pointy ears popped out from everywhere. They all stared toward the small tinkling noise which by now was getting mush louder. They all gasped. “Its the Princess!” They half whispered and half gasped. I looked over to the direction that they were staring at. From there, I could see a young but beautiful girl about seven-teen, or at least it looked like she was, and she was sitting on a sleigh, pulled by six small furry creatures.
She had long golden hair that flowed on behind her, and light blue eyes that lighted up her hair. She had rosy cheeks that were so pink that they looked just like two little cherries. Her ears wore a silver flower earrings and she wore a golden crown on her head that had a bright green emerald and three shiny ruby’s underneath the emerald. For clothes, she was wearing a crystal blue dress that sparkled, and also shined and shimmered like water. She had a silver chain around her neck that had a transparent raindrop hanging from it that glowed with a rainbow effect.
The bright smile on her face brightened as she slowly floated down to the center of the little square.
“Oh you poor little child” she began, “Oh you must have gotten twisted up in our magic. It always get tangled up once in a while, Well only unless someone messes with it.”

She smiled at me, then all of the little men ran down a hill laughing and skipping. “Well anyways, My name is Fairy Princess Sapphire. You can call me Sapphie for short, Thats what all the little trenwan people call me.”
Soon the little men came back carrying a pretty carriage made out of sparkling Ruby and Emerald flowers. It was pulled by 3 beautiful white horses. Then one of the men cleared his throat and opened up a scroll. Then he started to read from the scroll that he was holding. “Ahem, ladies and gentleman, it is time to celebrate the coming of a new human being!”
Alaine gasped. “So i’m going to live here forever? No! Oh please don’t. I wan’t to see Ma again oh... and Pa, and little ben, oh... what will I do!” Alaine started crying.
“Alaine, oh please stop crying I can’t stand it!” Sapphie whispered. Alaine looked up and stopped crying. “But, but, I’ll never see Ma again or pa and little Ben!” Sapphie stared into Alaine’s eyes. Then she waved her wand over a small toy Galaxy that sat on a small round table next to Sapphie. The Galaxy came to life and spun around until you could see earth. Then it zoomed into earth and Alaine saw a small brown hut about the size of a bead. “That’s my house! The galaxy zoomed in a little more and Alaine could see Her mother, Her father and Little Ben tied to a pole in some sort of dark cave. Alaine asked Sapphie to zoom into Ma, and thats when Alaine realized that she was no longer part of a family, she was homeless, an orphan.

Alaine lay on the small bed that Sapphie had offered her and Let her mind wander. When her mind wandered to the past, she thought about it. She thought about how Pa had told her to run, how she had woken up that morning in a rush, then grabbing a piece of bread, she had run out of the door, PJ’s still on, all because Pa had told her to run.
In the morning, she had been all grumpy about waking up at six in the morning, but now she was glad Pa had told her to run. Then she had hid in that flower pot thingy and when she came out again? POOF!!! she was in this land called Tumble-trout. Or what was it? Maybe it was Turn-about, Alaine couldn’t remember. She knew that it was something like that but her day had been so long that, that, She just couldn’t remember.
Sapphie had gave Alaine, She just GAVE Alaine her own house. Alaine guessed that Sapphie had only gave Alaine her house because one, she felt bad for Alaine and two, Alaine needed a house to live in, and she did not have one at the moment, but now as you know, she does.
